Privacy policy
Blinder keeps tournament data for the app to work, not to build profiles or sell information.
This page explains what Blinder stores, what gets sent through remote-sync features, and what Blinder does not do with your data.
Summary
Short version
Blinder does not require user accounts, does not sell personal information, and does not use advertising trackers. Tournament information is stored locally on your device and, when you use shared-room features, synced only so the connected devices in that room can stay in step.
What information Blinder stores
Blinder stores tournament setup and gameplay data in your browser or app storage so you can keep playing after a refresh or reopen the app later. This can include blind levels, timer state, room code, player names, seating, bust-out order, results, regular player lists, and saved templates you create.
What information is sent over remote-sync rooms
When you use remote control, TV display, or shared-room features, Blinder sends the current tournament state and room commands through the room connection so the linked devices can stay synchronised. That can include room code, player names, tournament structure, timer values, results, and controller actions.
What Blinder does not do
Blinder does not sell your data, does not share it with advertisers, and does not use it for behavioural profiling. We do not require account registration to use the core app.
Device features Blinder may use
Blinder may use your device clipboard when you choose to copy room codes, results, or other text. On supported devices it may also request a screen wake lock to keep the display awake while the tournament clock is running.
Details
How Blinder handles data
The points below describe the data flows currently used by the app and website.
-
1
Local storage on your device
Blinder stores your current tournament, templates, and regular player lists in local storage on the device where you use the app. This is used to restore your setup and keep the tournament available between sessions on that device.
-
2
Room syncing for connected screens
If you connect a phone remote, TV view, or other shared screen, Blinder sends room state through its realtime room connection provider so the devices in that room stay updated. This data is used to operate that room only.
-
3
No sale or advertising use
Blinder is not built around advertising, and the app data described on this page is not sold to third parties.
Specific disclosures
Privacy disclosures
Accounts and identity
Blinder does not require a personal account to use the app. The app is designed to run without signup-based identity data for normal use.
Children's privacy
Blinder is a poker tournament timer intended for general tournament management use and is not directed at children.
Data retention
Local data remains on your device until you clear it, replace it, or uninstall the app. Shared-room state may remain with the room service long enough to support connected devices and room recovery, after which it is expected to expire according to service configuration.
Third-party services
Blinder uses third-party infrastructure for realtime room syncing when those features are in use. That service processes room data needed to deliver synchronisation between your devices.
